Hi! My name is Sarah Kelly!

I've worked in higher education for 20 years at public and private universities in the roles of undergraduate admission, advising, and adjunct faculty.  Beyond my career in college admissions, I'm a licensed mental health counselor, with a small private practice.  My background includes Education, Psychology, and eastern and western Philosophy and Theology.  I have always viewed the admission process through the lens of counseling, not sales, and strive to help students choose a university that is their best fit.  URI has such a wonderful range of academics, internships, and social opportunities -- all in a beautiful setting.  I think it could be a great match for a wide variety of students!  I look forward to helping you explore your possibilities at URI!

Favorite place on campus: The Ryan Center - GO RAMS!
Best URI food: We have a Dunkin Donuts on campus—I love that!
Favorite thing about URI: Our warm and welcoming community and our school spirit.
Advice for new students: Take advantage of all the opportunities college has to offer: classes, studying abroad, clubs and leadership opportunities, internships, athletic events, volunteering, and meeting all kinds of new people!

Sign up for a virtual appointment with me by clicking available dates on the calendar. When you select a date, a list of times will appear under the calendar—so don't forget to scroll. After you submit your registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email with my Zoom link and additional details. If you don't see a time that works for you, reach out.

One-on-one appointments are an excellent opportunity for you to ask specific questions about URI and the application process. These conversations are not interviews (which we do not offer).
